About Our Cakes
Are Cake Palace cakes Halal?
Yes. Cake Palace describes its cakes as Halal. We are not certified by an external Halal certification organisation, so we do not use the wording “Halal-certified.”
Are all Cake Palace cakes egg-free?
Yes. Cake Palace is strictly 100% egg-free. Eggs are not used or handled on the premises.
Are the cakes gelatine-free and alcohol-free?
Yes. Our cakes, fillings, decorations and printed toppers are gelatine-free and alcohol-free.
Do you handle allergens on the premises?
Yes. Although eggs are not handled, the bakery handles several other allergens on the same premises:
- Nuts and peanuts: handled on-site; nut-free products cannot be guaranteed.
- Gluten and wheat: used in standard recipes; gluten-free products cannot be guaranteed free from cross-contact.
- Milk and dairy: fresh dairy cream and milk proteins are used.
- Soya: used in some margarines, vegetable oils or other ingredients.
Customers ordering because of an allergy should contact Cake Palace before purchase so the team can discuss ingredients and allergen handling.
Can cakes be personalised?
Many cakes can be personalised with a name, age, short message, edible photo, colour or theme. The available options are shown on each product page. Contact the shop before ordering when a required change is not listed online.
Ordering, Preparation and Collection
How much notice is required for a delivery order?
All delivery cake orders require at least 24 hours’ notice. Available dates and delivery time ranges are shown during checkout.
Can I order a cake for same-day collection?
Yes, but only cakes listed in the eligible Click & Collect range. These cakes can be ordered online for same-day collection. Wait for the “order ready” email before travelling to the shop.
Do you prepare any cake in five minutes?
No. Cakes are not prepared in five minutes. Eligible Click & Collect cakes are already part of the quick-collection range and can be collected after the order-ready email is sent.
Where do I collect my order?
Collection is from Cake Palace, 626 Staniforth Road, Darnall, Sheffield S9 4LN. Bring your order details or confirmation email.
Can I order online?
Yes. Browse the cake catalogue, choose the available options and select delivery or collection during checkout.
Delivery
Where does Cake Palace deliver?
Delivery is available to eligible addresses within an 8-mile radius of our shop in Darnall. Enter the complete address during checkout for the final availability result.
How much does delivery cost?
Delivery is charged at £2 per mile. There is no minimum order value. The checkout shows the applicable delivery option and charge.
Can I choose a delivery time?
Customers choose from the available delivery time ranges displayed during checkout. An exact minute-by-minute arrival time is not promised.
Do you offer same-day delivery?
No. Same-day availability applies only to eligible Click & Collect cakes. Delivery orders require at least 24 hours’ notice.
Do you deliver on Sundays and public holidays?
Sunday delivery is available. Public-holiday delivery is available only when a delivery slot appears during checkout.
Payments, Changes and Cancellations
Which payment methods do you accept?
In the shop, Cake Palace accepts cash, debit cards, credit cards, Apple Pay and Google Pay. Online payment options may depend on the customer’s device, browser and checkout method.
Can I change or cancel an order after payment?
Contact Cake Palace as soon as possible. An order can be changed or cancelled only before preparation begins. Whether a change is possible depends on the order status, timing and requested change.
Are personalised or prepared cakes refundable?
Personalised or already-prepared cakes cannot be cancelled or refunded because the customer changes their mind. This does not affect statutory rights where goods are faulty, damaged or not as described.
